Image IQ recently faced a unique and challenging photography assignment: capturing the elegance and clarity of a range of acrylic display units manufactured by Paskell Displays in Maesteg.
Paskell Displays, renowned for their high-quality acrylic fabrication, presented us with a diverse collection of display units, from sleek and minimalist designs to intricate, multi-tiered structures. Photographing acrylic, however, presents unique challenges. Its highly reflective surface often creates unwanted glare and reflections, making it difficult to showcase the true transparency and clarity of the material.
To overcome these challenges, our team employed a multi-faceted approach:
- Controlled Lighting: We meticulously controlled the lighting environment, minimizing ambient light and utilizing diffused lighting techniques to reduce glare and enhance the clarity of the acrylic.
- Strategic Positioning: We carefully positioned the display units to minimize reflections from surrounding objects and to showcase their unique shapes and forms.
- Post-Production Techniques: We employed advanced image editing techniques to remove any remaining reflections and enhance the overall clarity and vibrancy of the images.
The resulting images effectively communicate the elegance and versatility of Paskell Displays’ acrylic creations, showcasing their ability to showcase products in a clean, modern, and visually appealing manner.
A Testament to Expertise:
This project required a high level of technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a creative approach to overcome the unique challenges presented by photographing acrylic surfaces. It serves as a testament to the skills and ingenuity of the Image IQ photographer and the craftsmanship of Paskell Displays.
